Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship has the seal of approval from the NFL star’s coach, Andy Reid.
Reid, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach, was asked about his star tight end’s romance with the superstar singer during an appearance on Outkick’s The Five Spot this week, and Reid, 65, showed his support for Kelce, 34, and Swift, 33.
“I knew her from Philadelphia; her dad was a big NFL fan, so I had met her when she was real young, and her dad,” Reid explained before jokingly taking credit for orchestrating the romance between Swift and Kelce. “I joked about setting Kelce up, and, you know, I’m just saying!” Reid said, laughing with the show’s host.
Swift grew up near Reading, Penn. and has confirmed she’s a Philadelphia Eagles fan after writing a lyric about an Eagles t-shirt in her song “Gold Rush.”
But lately her rooting loyalties have shifted to the Chiefs amid her romance with Kelce, and Reid added, “She’s a good girl, she’s into it, we’re glad she’s here.”
